The Hotel Gasthof Handewitt is a family-friendly inn in Handewitt close to Flensburg at the Danish border. The owner, Pierre Schönbaum, has been running the hotel for 20 years. He sees to his guests’ wellbeing and has recently had the inn renovated with great attention to detail.
Enjoy the stylish, comfortable atmosphere, eat and celebrate at our restaurant, or stay in one of our more than 50 appealing hotel rooms.
Since the comprehensive renovation, the inn also offers entirely barrier-free rooms and areas in the restaurant. Our special single apartments with single kitchen are a great offer for those traveling alone.

With the construction of a new building in 2017, Pierre Schönbaum reacted to the growing popularity of the hotel. He was builing in the quiet area at the back of the inn an extension with additional rooms.
Today the hotel presents a total of 10 guest rooms and 23 apartments with kitchenettes. Modern comfort offers Danish satellite TV and WiFi in all rooms.

The room rate includes all cleaning costs. Four persons are maximum allowed to stay here. All prices are without breakfast. Breakfast can be booked for €12.50 per person.
